SS17 Yellow All-Purpose Cut & Colour

SS17 Yellow is a versatile all-purpose compound designed to deliver fast cutting action while simultaneously developing strong color and surface clarity. Its fine yet sharp abrasive particles allow it to efficiently remove scratches, sanding marks, and minor surface defects while refining the surface to a smooth, bright finish.

This compound is particularly effective for cutting and coloring aluminum castings following abrasive belt polishing, as well as developing color on steel tubing and other metal components. SS17 leaves the workpiece clean and residue-free, making it an excellent choice for surfaces that will undergo plating or further finishing operations.

Widely regarded for its clean working characteristics, SS17 is also a favorite for cutting diamond plate and checker plate, where consistent cutting performance and minimal buildup are critical. It works well across a broad range of metals and can be paired with untreated buffs for increased coloring ability or harder treated buffs when more aggressive cutting action is required.
