Center Mount Buffing Wheel Rake

Primarily used for cleaning buffing wheels and removing glaze buildup, this rake set is also highly effective for fraying the face of new lathe-cut cloth buffs before use. Light, frequent raking is an important part of both the initial facing process and regular buffing, helping improve compound retention, reduce waste, and produce a higher quality finish. For best performance and maximum rake head life, buffing wheels should be raked lightly and often.

Completely assembled center-mount rake set designed for two-handed use on stand-up, floor-mounted buffing machines and polishing lathes. Built with 3/4” hardwood plywood, it serves as an effective anti-glazing and facing tool for cloth buffing wheels. It is now upgraded with heavy-gauge, laser-cut stainless steel rake heads and stainless hardware for added durability, while the steel rake head can be easily replaced once worn.
